How do you match an expert to my case?
After your inquiry, we ask clarifying questions about the specialty, clinical setting, jurisdiction, and timeline, then introduce a board-certified PA with relevant experience.
Who retains the expert?
You retain and work with the expert directly.
Do your experts work with both plaintiff and defense?
Yes. Our experts are available to plaintiff and defense counsel, and their opinions rest on the records and the standard of care.
Will the expert support my client's position?
Not necessarily. Each expert independently reviews the records and decides whether to accept a case based on its merits. If the care met the standard, the expert will say so, regardless of which side retained them.
Is there a fee for the initial review?
Review terms and fees are set by each expert and discussed with you before any records are reviewed.
What is the difference between a physician associate and a physician assistant?
None. Physician associate is the profession's newer title. Both describe the same profession and the same PA-C credential, and most state laws still use physician assistant.
Why use a PA rather than a physician as an expert?
When a PA's care is at issue, a PA can speak directly to PA education, scope of practice, and supervision. Many jurisdictions require or favor an expert from the same profession.
How do I send medical records?
Please do not send records through this website. Records are exchanged with the retained expert through a secure channel.
